Illustrated explanations are generally superior in information density to "chapter book" style explanations. Visuals allow a tutorial to speak at a high level without losing beginners.

Such materials are often designed for kids. I was pointed to Phippy when I asked a question on HN. I intend to be on the look out for more such sources.

I love this in part because I actually took some Greek in college. Kubernetes is just a Greek word meaning captain. It is also linguistically related to governor, a term used both politically and in engineering.

Linky The very first reply says it's HTML, CSS and XML. XML is a markup language but not the one used on Reddit which is Markdown. I already know some HTML and CSS and occasionally use the markup language on Reddit. So I might be able to code this, hire an artist to add drawings, add a shopping cart and be in business from the website end of things. I worked at BigCo when they were implementing some technology of some sort, I forget what. It looked to me like the scene in Men in Black 2 where the mail sorting machine turns out to be a cart with an alien with multiple arms flinging mail rapidly. To the customer, it's "tech." The actual back end is getting PEOPLE to do the work within the deadline as a priority for some damn reason. I actually found the following via Reddit : 4 Easy Ways to Contribute to an Open Source Project It suggests contributing documentation as an easy place to start. It says not one word about where to find documentation (other than their project). I need to make myself a little schedule. I already have kind of a schedule. There's a thing I do on Sundays. There's a thing I do on Mondays. I try to do stuff on Reddit at least two days out of the week, nominally "Tuesdays and Fridays" but not always and maybe I need to figure out a better way to say that.
