Blobbing

I'm a blogger currently publishing too many blogs on blogspot and I have a stupidly large number of Reddits.

Blogspot has a bunch of templates. Their four most recent ones are Contempo, Soho, Notable and Emporio. I only use those four these days because they were made available after planet Earth moved to mobile first as its standard.

Those four are mobile friendly templates. The older ones are not, so they don't play well on a phone and my internet life is 99 percent on my phone.

I have a lousy never updated website and lousy never updated reddit called pocket puter because my phone is my window on the world. One part poverty, one part physical limitations from my medical situation.

I don't think I have a single blog using Contempo. I have a few using Notable and Emporio but most of my blogs are the Soho template and I've been removing the pointless decorative photo on the landing page that I used to think I needed because my sites are pretty stripped down, bare bones, just the writing as is for an American and I felt I needed to play the game to get people in the door.

That's not working. Screw you. My intended audience is rural peoples and other demographics who may have limited internet access, so I've been going harder on making them more bare bones and if you aren't here for my writing, I don't care.

Go elsewhere if you want shiny, flashy, addictive spoonfuls of hot air. That's not what I'm interested in providing. Get off my lawn if you are in search of chocolate sugar bombs for your information sustenance.

So Soho does allow for a photo on the landing page and only the landing page. For some or all of the other templates, if you put in a background photo, it shows on every page. This is not a good thing if you are a homeless person on your phone paying for data or using public wifi of some sort.

Anyway, I'm writing and expecting to do a series of related posts and wondering how to organize that and I don't like labels on Reddit or blogspot. They annoy me.

Reddit: One and only one label per post.

I would like to talk to your manager. You people piss me off.

Blogspot: All the labels you like. Yay!

But I kind of want a nested system or something.  Like I want to label this stuff Online Forums and I want like to use either or both and like you can click on Online Forums and it pulls up every post with that phrase plus every post that just says either Online or Forums.

Because I also want to talk about Online Businesses and this isn't exactly a separate topic and it's also not the case that Online Forums are automatically a subset of online businesses.

So I've had the passing thought that my stupid hobby of blogging that will never pay my bills could maybe support a places based platform like blogspot with something similar to the Soho template and improved labels as the thing I could sell supported by my existing writing.

I'm not really that technical and I've got no connections and no idea how to make this work, but the longer my life goes on, the more aggravated I am at the defects in the publishing platforms I interact with.
